Gallup Survey:
Recently, Junior Achievement commissioned a Gallup Survey to determine ways to foster a more entrepreneurial workforce. The results gave JA insights into what employers want from their employees, what they are seeing now, and areas for improvement. While the study focused on people just entering the workforce, it also highlights the changing workplace, and the need for a more flexible, and entrepreneurial employee. At the national level, Junior Achievement is bringing together representatives of small business, the U.S Chamber of Commerce, education and industry leaders to determine how to use this information to develop a better workforce. Additionally, Junior Achievement will use the study to develop better teaching tools for young people, adding to its already considerable offering of programs for elementary through high school aged students.
